This is a 1948 Philco bakelite table top radio finished in an ivory color. This radio was restored from a basket case. The cabinet had large cracks in several places. The cracks were repaired by drilling small holes and applying JB Weld underneath. The cracks were then slightly enlarged and filled with Bondo and sanded smooth. The cabinet was repainted, buffed and replacement decals applied. The radio chassis was restored and now the set looks and plays great. |
